SHARAN (PAN): At least six militants have been killed by their own explosives in southeastern Paktika province, an official said on Sunday.
The incident took place on Saturday evening when the bomb the insurgents were planting on a road went off in the Lwara area of Gayan district, the provincial police chief said.
Brig. Gen. Dawlat Khan Zadran said six militants were killed in the incident. Civilians suffered no harm in the blast, he said, adding corpses of the fighters were still lying at the scene.
