JALALABAD/SHARAN (PAN): Three people, including a policeman, have been killed and 14 others wounded in two separate bomb blasts in southeastern Paktika and eastern Nangarhar provinces, officials said on Sunday.
Naqibullah Reekhtunai, the Paktika police spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News an explosive device tied to a bicycle went off, killing two civilians and a policeman dead and injuring seven others.
He said the man, who had fixed the explosive to the bicycle in front of a hospital in the Wazakhwa district bazaar, was killed after being seized by local residents.
In the Khogyani district of Nangarhar province, a rocket attack wounded seven children. Dr. Noor Agha, the district headquarters hospital head, confirmed receiving seven wounded children, one of them in critical condition.
