15 bombs found in Panjwai mosque defused

KANDAHAR CITY (PAN in the Panjwai district of southern Kandahar province, an official said on Monday.

Besides the explosives, a walkie-talkie, 250 bullets of machinegun and other ammunitions were also found in the mosque in Talokan area, the governor’s spokesman, Javed Faisal, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said security forces were out to arrest the prayer leader and others in connection with the explosives.

Meanwhile, the national army’s 205th Atal Military Corps in a statement said 63 landmines, 22 walkie-talkies and bullets had been seized during operations in Panjwai and Khakrez districts.
