KABUL): Supporting the Afghan people’s decision on their future, China has said the ongoing reconciliation process should be led and owned by Kabul.

“We will see a change in Afghanistan in 2014 and are hopeful about stability,” Weidong said, urging the global fraternity to make the transition a success.

Asked about Beijing-Islamabad ties, the ambassador said that the two sides should enhance cooperation in regional and international affairs.

“The two countries should push forward the Afghanistan peace process, support the cooperative SAARC process and maintain regional peace,” he added.
