GHAZNI CITY (PAN): Five militants were killed and four others wounded by a roadside bomb they were planting on a road in the Giru district of southern Ghazni province on Sunday, an official said.
The Taliban were mining the road in Sheli area, where they planned attacks on Afghan Local Police (ALP) checkpoints, the district told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Abdullah Khairkhwa said the rebels’ bodies were still lying at the scene. There was no immediate reaction from the insurgent movement.
