FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Three militants were killed and two others injured when the mine they were planting on a road exploded in the Pusht Rod district of western Farah province, an official said Monday.
Ghausuddin, the district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the roadside bomb went off prematurely last night in Nali Dasht locality.
Abdul Bari, a local resident, confirmed the incident and the casualties. “One of the dead was a resident of Nali Dasht village and the two were from Khuskabi area,” he added.
No insurgent group has so far commented on the incident.
