Pasarlai’s coffin arrives, funeral tomorrow
KABUL (PAN): The coffin of Ustad Mohammad Siddique Pasarlai, a legendary Pashtu poet, who died on Sunday night in India, has arrived in Kabul and his funeral prayers will be offered tomorrow, a relative said on Tuesday.
Son of late Pasarlai, Asadullah Ghazanfar, told Pajhwok Afghan News Pasarlai’s coffin reached Kabul from New Delhi at 4pm.
The coffin would be taken to Eid Gah Mosque from Sardar Mohammad Duad Khan 400-bed hospital at 9am and the funeral would be offered at 10am at the Eid Gah Mosque.
Ghazanfar said a large number of friends of Pasarlai were present at the Kabul International Airport to receive his coffin and pay respect to him.
Pasarlai would be laid to rest in the Shuhada-i-Saliheen graveyard in Kabul.
