4 border police killed in Khost attack

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Four border policemen were killed in an insurgent attack in southeastern Khost province on Saturday, the governor’s house said.

The policemen were returning to duty from their homes when they were ambushed by a group of armed insurgents in Ali Sher district in the afternoon, the governor’s house said in a statement.

A fifth policeman was wounded in the attack, the statement said.

Governor Abdul Jabbar Naeemi strongly condemned the incident and called on residents to cooperate with security forces.
