KABUL’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) – A cricket team by 78 runs in an exciting 40 over match in Peshawar, the provincial capital of KP province, officials said Tuesday.
Fareed Hotak, spokesman of Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), told Pajhwok Afghan News the KP-A team won the toss and invited Afghanistan-A to bat first.
After losing the toss Afghanistan-A set the target of 277 runs in 40 over, he added.
Shafiqullah Shafiq was star for Afghanistan-A, who played a great nock of 103 runs while Noor-ul-Haq scored 58, Rahim Mangal, 32 and Shabir Noori 27 which helped the team setting a strong target.
He said the KP-A team did not bat well and were bowled out in 187 runs.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan under -19 cricket team is in Lahore preparing for under 19 world cup tournament which would start next month.
