Akhgar dies after protracted illness

KABUL (Pajhwok): Qasim Akhgar, the author and former chief editor of Hasht-i-Subh newspaper, has passed away after protracted illness, the newspaper announced on Tuesday.

Pervaiz Kawo, chief editor of daily, said Akhgar died at 4: 00pm in Kabul after four years of illness. The 60-years-old journalist had been under treatment in countries including Turkey, Poland and India.
