KABUL (Pajhwok): An Afghan citizen has been detained with four kilograms of cocaine in the Indian capital New Delhi, a media report said on Wednesday.
Ahmad Jawid, alias Nabi, was arrested on February 10, The Asia Age reported, putting the value of the contraband at 200 million rupees.
The 46-year-old was held a few days after three drug traffickers, including a Jammu and Kashmir police constable, were arrested with cocaine worth 3,500 million rupees.
The daily quoted police officer Sanjeev Kumar Yadav as saying that an international drug cartel with roots in South American and Africa had been busted.
