Harakat-e-Islami supports Abdullah

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Harakat-e-Islami party on Thursday announced its support in favour of presidential contender Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in the landmark elections to be held on April 5 this year.

The party announced unanimous support for Dr. Abdullah at a gathering held here in Kabul, with the participation of thousands of people who noticed Abdullah as a right choice in the current situation of the country.

Abdul Ghani Kasimi, leader of the IMP, urged the party’s supporters to cast their vote in favour of Abdullah for tangible reforms in the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Abdullah said his team would usher an era of progress and prosperity in the country and he would remain with Afghans through thick and thin.

They said Abdullah was a right person as a presidential candidate who had the ability to navigate the country on path to durable progress.
