Prayer leader gunned down in Logar

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen shot dead a seminary teacher, who was also a prayer leader, in central Logar province on Saturday.

A statement from the Ministry of Education teacher.

Education Director Akbar Stanikzai said the victim, Qari Adel, had been teaching at the seminary for years. He was also a prayer leader at a mosque in Kutabkhel locality.

Gunmen took him out of the mosque early in the morning and then sprayed him with bullets. Abdul Hameed, the district chief, said police had started an investigation into the incident.
