KABUL (Pajhwok): Amanullah Taimori has been appointed as new governor of the central Uruzgan province, the Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) announced on Wednesday.
Taimori, who replaces Amir Mohammad Akhundazada, was appointed as governor in compliance with a presidential decree, the directorate said in a statement.
The statement said the replacement came in response to a recommendation by the IDLG.
