Security organs asked to check deforestation
KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Governor Abdul Jabbar Naeemi on Tuesday asked security organs to play an effective role in stopping deforestation in southeastern Khost province.
He said the provincial authorities would plant thousands of saplings this year. As many as 6,000 saplings will be planted by the Olympic Committee alone.
Syed Karim Khaksar, the provincial council chief, called forestation important for the beauty of Khost City. He called on people to plant more trees to protect the environment.
