ALP personnel injured in Farah bombing

FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): Two Afghan Local Police (ALP) personnel were wounded in a suicide attack in the Pusht-i-Rod district of western Farah province on Monday, an official said.

The car bomber targeted a convoy of Rural Development Department officials in Bilandi village at 1.30pm, said the district’s administrative chief.

Ghausuddin told Pajhwok Afghan News the ALP personnel were providing security for the convoy that was going back to Farah City from the district.

Eyewitness Mohammad Ibrahim said saw a white Corolla car exploding near the convoy in Bilandi village. However, he had no information about casualties.
