Mar 31, 2014 - 17:19

BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Presidential hopeful Dr. Abdullah Abdullah Monday promised resolving the long-standing dispute between locals and the nomadic Kochi tribe once and for all if he won next Saturday’s election.

Addressing thousands of supporters in central Bamyan province, he assured no one would be allowed to politicise the Kochi issue. He promised revolutionary changes in the lives of Bamyan people by developing agricultureinfo-icon, paving roads and strengthening the energy sector.

The people of Bamyan were enthusiastic about educationinfo-icon and his administration would strive to promote the sector in the province, he added.

Eng. Mohammad Khan, his first choice for vice president, said his team was committed to develop Bamyan province on modern lines.

Mohammad Mohaqiq, his choice for second vice-president, urged the people to vote in favour of his team for tangible reforms in the country. Abdullah is the third presidential contender visiting Bamyan. Earlier, Ahmadzai and Sherzai also visited the province in connection of their election campaign.
