KABUL’s lawless tribal region of Khyber on Monday, injuring two people.
Government official in the area, Amjad Khan told Dawn.com the attackers used rockets and machine guns during the attack in Sor Qamar area, damaging several other vehicles. The attackers fled after a brief clash with security forces rushing to the scene.
Dawn.com also reported Afghan border guards shot dead two Pakistani shepherds who had mistakenly crossed into Afghanistan near Badini, an area in Baluchistan province on Monday, a Levies official said.
The official said Afghan forces at the border opened unprovoked fire without a prior warning, leaving the pair dead on the spot. The victims belonged to Badini area of Kila Saifullah district.
Baluchistan Home Secretary said he had ordered inquiry into the incident. Victims’ bodies were brought to Badini area after negotiations with Afghan authorities.
