3 notorious insurgents held in Kandahar

KANDAHAR (Pajhwok): Three militants involved in targeted killings and staging terrorist attacks were arrested in southern Kandahar province on Friday, a statement said.

A statement from the governor’s office said the militants had been detained by the officials of National Directorate of Security (NDS).

The detained men belonged to different districts who were involved in sabotage activities elsewhere in the province, the statement added.

The arrested persons were active members of Mullah Ibrahim’s group who were carrying out disruptive acts in Maiwand and Zehri districts. It said weapons had also been recovered from the detained persons.
