MEHTARLAM (Pajhwok): Eighteen people, including three women, were wounded on Friday when a magnetic bomb exploded in Mehtarlam, the capital of eastern Laghman province, the governor’s spokesman said.
Sarhadi Zwak told Pajhwok Afghan News the bomb tied to a traffic police vehicle went at Asmat Chowk in the city at around 9:00am.
He said that the explosion occurred inside the parked police vehicle, which left 12 people injured. The incident is currently under investigation.
But Dr. Attaullah, the local hospital head, said 18 wounded people had been brought to the hospital. The doctor said most of the victims had suffered slight injuries.
