Chaired by President Hamid Karzai at the Presidential Palace, the NSC discussed the overall security situation in the country, a statement from the Office of Administrative Affairs said.
Defence Minister Bismillah Khan Mohammadi briefed the meeting about the overall security situation and said Afghan security forces had thwarted several attacks planned by the enemies last week.
He shared his concerns over the continuation of artillery shelling from Pakistan into eastern Kunar province, saying the Afghan security forces were poised to defend the borders.
Interior Minister Omar Daudzai explained the progress in removing tinted glasses from vehicles and efforts at controlling weapons in Kabul and other provinces.
After listening to these officials, the NSC ordered a serious campaign to rip film off cars’ windows and control weapons in all provinces.
