CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): The deputy defence minister’s guard was among three people killed in a clash in central Parwan province, an official said on Friday.
Police chief, Brig. Gen. Khalilullah Ziyaee, identified the security guard as Abdul Hay, who came under fire from four gunmen near his residence last night.
Before being shot to death, Abdul Hay killed two of the attackers in return fire, Gen. Ziyaee told Pajhwok Afghan News. The remaining two were wounded but managed to escape.
The police chief blamed the Taliban for the overnight attack in the Qala Sehra village of Jabalus Saraj district. A search is ongoing for the two attackers.
