3 insurgents blown up by own explosives

GARDEZ (Pajhwok): Three insurgents were killed when the explosives were carrying went off in southeastern Paktia province, an official said on Saturday.

Two militants were killed in the Ibrahimkhel area on the outskirts of Gardez, the provincial capital, when the explosive materials went off, police chief Brig. Gen. Zalmai Oryakhel told Pajhwok Afghan News.

In a similar incident, another militant was killed in the Rabat area. An explosives-laden motorbike exploded prematurely as the fighter was trying to blow up a polling station.
