Suicide bomber blown up by own explosives

QALAT (Pajhwok): A suicide bomber was killed by his own explosives before he could reach his target in southern Zabul province on Sunday, an official said.

Deputy police chief, Ghulam Jilani Farahi, said the incident took place at around 12:00 pm when the bomber in a woman’s guise tried to target security forces.

But his explosives detonated prematurely in Sink area on outskirts of Qalat, the provincial capital, he added. One civilian was also wounded.

The Taliban are yet to comment on the incident.
