KABUL next week for endorsement, an official said on Tuesday.
The Ministry of Justice drafted the anti-money laundering law. Lower house members voted 139-1 for the measures on Monday.
The draft law, containing 10 chapters and 70 articles, had been under debate in the Wolesi Jirga for three days.
Senate Chairman Fazal Hadi Muslimyar said upper house commissions were discussing technical aspects of the draft law, which would be presented to lawmakers for a debate on Saturday or Sunday.
“We are trying to deal with the suggested law in haste. But we cannot sacrifice people’s interests for the sake of a handful of resourceful individuals. We would do all we can to pass it soon,” he remarked.
