5 of family lose lives to Logar gun attack
PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen shot dead five people of family during a predawn attack in the Mohammad Agha district of central Logar province, an official said on Friday.
District police chief Abdul Wakil Haqyar told Pajhwok Afghan News two people were wounded in the assault on a civilian house in Mohmand village. The dead included two women and three men, he said.
The attackers managed to flee, he said, believing the shooting was linked to personal enmity. Police have launched an investigation into the incident, which happened at 2.00am.
Area resident Haji Habibullah said he heard a burst of gunfire in the village. In the morning, he learnt that the house of his co-villager had come under gun attack.
