JALALABAD (Pajhwok): At least five civilians and four militants were killed and some wounded in a traffic accident and clashes in eastern Laghman province, an official said on Saturday.
Sarhadi Zwak, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident happened on Friday evening in Wrishmin Tangi locality, killing five people, including women. Nine others were wounded.
Separately, three militants were killed and two others wounded after an overnight attack on an Afghan Local Police (ALP) check post in Alishang district, Zwak said.
A fourth fighter was killed in Alingar district during gunbattle with police. The spokesman said police did not suffer any casualties.
