KABUL (Pajhwok): The Cabinet on Monday approved in principle a four-year socio-economic development plan and extended the period of loan payments for flats in the under-construction Qasaba Township in Kabul from 10 to 20 years.
Economy Minister Abdul Hadi Arghandiwal told the Cabinet meeting that the socio-economic development plan was approved based on a presidential decree issued in 2012, a statement from the Presidential Palace’s Administrative Affairs Office said.
Following discussions, the Council of Ministers approved the draft plan and directed Arghandiwal to prepare his ministry policy keeping in view the country’s gross domestic revenue.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet meeting also decided to extend from 10 to 20 years the payment of installations period to purchase flats in the Qasaba Township project with a 10 percent advance payment for each flat.
The township is being constructed with financial assistance from the UAE.
