2 rockets hit Bagram Airfield
KABUL (Pajhwok): Two rockets hit Bagram Airfield last evening, resulting in “minor damage to equipment and one building but causing no casualties among International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) troops, the alliance said in a statement on Saturday.
As usual, Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, with the group’s spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed killing a number of foreign forces in the attack and inflicting heavy damages on equipments.
But ISAF said: “There were no ISAF casualties and the base is secured. There was no effect on operational activity. ISAF officials are currently assessing the incident.”
Last week, a similar attack at Kabul International Airport damaged four aircrafts.
