Abdullah, Ahmadzai teams’ members hold meeting
KABUL (Pajhwok): Members of technical teams of presidential candidates Dr. Abdullah Abdullah and Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai held a detailed meeting to discuss crucial election related matters in presence of incumbent first and second vice presidents in capital Kabul, an official said Saturday.
Azita Riffat, spokesperson of change and continuity team, confirmed the meeting was held but refused to share details.
Wakil Sadaati, another member of Ahmadzai campaign team, told Pajhwok Afghan News technical members of both the teams had a meeting for the first time in presidential palace.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views about current election crisis and standoff, with both the sides set agenda for next meeting.
According to Saadati, the change and continuity team was led by Daud Sultanzoyi, Mahjor, Dr. Faiq, Wakil Sadaati and Dr. Kazim while the reform and anonymity team was headed by former Independent Election Commission (IEC) chief Fazal Ahmad Manawi, Khalid Pashtoon, Dr. Sahak, Bashir Farooq and Amrullah Aman.
Both the sides agreed that to separate fraudulent votes from genuine ballot.
