KABUL National Unity Movement chief alleged on Tuesday that foreign hand had been fomenting trouble and insecurity in the country.
Dr. Abdullah Rashid Jalili, addressing a gathering in Kabul, claimed foreign countries were behind fomenting ethnic, sectarian and linguistic divisions in Afghanistan.
He told participants of the Independence Day gathering that insecurity and fighting was fast spilling over to cities from villages, posing a serious security threat.
“There is no peace and security. Fighting is spilling over to most parts of the country,” he regretted, stressing effective steps to control the situation before it spun out of control.
At the ceremony, speakers congratulated the nation on the 95th Independence Day. It is the fourth congress of the newly-formed group, which will last four days.
