KABUL (Pajhwok): The Change and Continuity team, headed by Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai, on Friday claimed resolving most of
contentious issues during negotiations with the Dr. Abdullah-led camp
Faiz Ali Zaki, a spokesman for the Ghani campaign, told a news conference in Kabul the presidential runners met leaders of the three pillars of state and jihadi figures earlier in the day.
Most of the sticking points in negotiations on forming a government of national unity were satisfactorily addressed during the meeting at the Presidential Palace, he said.
The remaining differences would be sorted out by the end of the day, paving the ground for election result announcement. “The agreement only aims to form a national unity government…”
