KABUL (Pajhwok): Two Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers and three civilians have been killed in separate security incidents in different parts of the country, officials said on Monday.
An official in western Herat province told Pajhwok Afghan News two ANA soldiers had been killed and nine others abducted in the Wakil Hassan area of Rabat Sangi district early in the morning.
Requesting not to be named, the official said one of the ANA soldiers at a security post connived with the militants against his colleagues.
But Governor Fazlullah Wahidi said three soldiers were killed in the incident. Efforts to rescue the abducted soldiers were underway, he added.
According to another report, a mother and her son were killed by illegal gunmen in Baghlan province. The shooting took place when the armed men broke into the victim’s house in Bano district and opened fire at them.
The district chief, Abdul Wali Hamidi, linked the attack to personal enmity. Three people have been arrested in connection with the killings.
A 13 years old boy was killed mysteriously in another incident in northern Kunduz province. The victim’s family said the boy was working at a mobile repair center in Kunduz City.
He was found dead in an underground market. Abdul Kabir, father of the victim, alleged his son was hanged by his trainer. Police spokesman Syed Sarwar Hussaini said the trainer had been arrested.
