UN a committed partner of Afghans: Kubis

KABUL (Pajhwok): UN top diplomat in Kabul on Friday said the United Nations remained a committed partner and supporter of Afghans.

In a message on the eve of Eidul Adha, Jan Kubis said the UN supported President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai and the government of national unity in their efforts to achieve stability, prosperity and a lasting peace

“Eid Mubarak to you all,” Kubis, also the head of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), said in his message.

“UNAMA expresses the hope that all Afghans will be able to celebrate the occasion in a spirit of brotherhood, free from violence and surrounded by family and friends.”
