Ahmadzai asks ex-VP to support new govt (Video)

KABUL (Pajhwok): President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai on Thursday praised former vice-president Karim Khalili’s efforts at strengthening democracy, peace and reconstruction.

Ahmadzai said this in a message read out to a gathering of more than one thousand people at the Loya Jirga tent paying tribute to Khalili. A message from his first Vice-President Gen. Abdur Rashid Dostum was also read out.

Ahmadzai praised Khalili’s contributions to the Jihad movement and to the Afghan government during the past 13 years. He urged the ex-VP to cooperate with the new government and share his experience with it.
