KABUL (Pajhwok): Promising lucrative investment facilities, a top diplomat has urged Pakistani businessmen to explore the Afghan market for boosting bilateral trade.

Ambassador Janan Mosazai wooed Pakistani entrepreneurs during a visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on Wednesday.

According to a leading Pakistani newspaper, RCCI President Syed Asad Mashadi, Senior Vice President Mian Humayun Parvez and Khurshid Barlas were present on the occasion.

“Afghan embassy will facilitate Pakistani businessmen’s visit to Afghanistan,” Dawn quoted Mosazai as saying. Both nations shared religious, cultural and historical bonds, he noted.

He expressed the hope the two governments would clear hurdles to the full implementation of the Afghan-Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement.

The Afghan ambassador lauded RCCI for holding first Made-in-Pakistan Exhibition in Afghanistan and assured his embassy would extend full support such event.

RCCI President Syed Asad Mashadi assured the ambassador that they would be playing a pivotal role in enhancement of trade with Afghanistan.
