ISAF Helmand airstrike leaves 7 rebels dead
LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Seven militants have been killed in International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) airstrike in southern Helmand province, the Grishak district police chief said on Thursday.
Col. Umar Jan Haqmal told Pajhwok Afghan News that ISAF targeted militants’ hideout on Wednesday close to Mahajar bazaar area of the district.
Insurgents’ commander Rohullah Agha was also among the dead rebels. Agha had been leading anti-state and nation activities in the area.
However, militants have not yet commented on the attack.
