KABUL’s southwestern Balochistan province on Monday.
Paramilitary troops and intelligence agents seized more than 200 Kalashnikov rifles as well as 9mm pistols and improvised explosive devices, a Pakistani TV channel reported.
A Frontier Corps spokesperson told a news conference in Quetta, the provincial capital, that identities of the detainees were yet to be ascertained.
Home Minister Sarfaraz Bugti, who was also present at the press conference, said the security personnel had thwarted a possible terror attack.
A day earlier, a paramilitary soldier was killed and two of his colleagues were wounded in an ambush by militants in the Kech district of Balochistan.
