BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): The central Bamyan province would get $200 million extra funds in next year’s development budget after being declared a second grade province, the governor said on Monday.
Ghulam Ali Wahdat told a press conference the new status was a big achievement for the people of Bamyan. A third grade province received $300 million, he said, adding Bamyan would get $500 million in next year’s budget.
He expressed optimism that the budget increase would bring positive changes to people’s lives. Another major achievement for Bamyan was the launch of a green revolution with the plantation of 18 million saplings this year, he concluded.
