Khost blast leaves policeman dead

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): One policeman was killed and two others were wounded in a bomb blast in southeastern Khost province on Saturday, an official said.

Police spokesman Najibullah told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion occurred in Takht Baig area on the outskirts of Khost City, the provincial capital, at around 12:00 noon.

The blast targeted a police vehicle carrying food for security personnel at various check-posts. The explosion was so powerful that it left the vehicle destroyed.
