KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan Anti-Corruption Network (AACN) said on Monday it would mark the Intentional Anti-Corruption Day on Tuesday to demand the unity government step up its fight against the menace.
A statement from the AACN urged people to support clean individuals, stand firm against the corrupt and help the national unity government in its fight against graft.
The network demanded the government eliminate corruption at all levels and the corrupt officials and individuals should be immediately arrested, prosecuted and punished.
At a ceremony, the network awarded the 2014 Integrity Award to three anti-corruption champions including Senator Anarkali Honaryar, Dr. Yama Torabi, a member of Joint Anti-Corruption Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, and Khushal Rohi, a social activist.
