Bodies of man, woman found dead in Logar

PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Officials said the dead bodies of a man and a woman were recovered in the Mohammad Agha district of central Logar province on Friday.

Maj. Abdul Wakil Haqyar, police chief for the district, told Pajhwok Afghan News the bodies were found in the Abazak locality of the district in the morning.

Initial investigations, he said revealed the couple belonged to eastern Nangarhar province and had been living in the area after fleeing their home.

He said their relatives could be behind the murder. The bodies were shifted to a hospital in Kabul for a postmortem.

Asmatullah, a resident of the locality, said villagers found the bodies and then informed police. He said both had been shot to death.
