KABUL (Pajhwok): An agreement was signed on Sunday on building a 50-kilometre road in southeastern Paktika province at a cost of $52.1 million, an official said.
The Sharan- Angoor Ada road will be funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the acting public works minister said.
Eng. Noor Gul Mangal added the agreement had been signed with two private Afghan and Turkish construction companies. Under the agreement, the project will be completed in two years.
The completion of the direly-needed road, Mangal hoped, would usher in an era of progress and development in the entire province.
