KABUL (Pajhwok): The counter-narcotics police in Kabul seized around 1, 300 litres of acetic anhydride on Wednesday, the Ministry of Interior said.
On a tip-off, police conducted an operation that led to the seizure of the chemicals used in heroin making and arrests of two alleged smugglers.
A statement from the ministry said the chemicals had been placed in onion bags and were being smuggled to eastern Nangarhar. The contraband is worth $1 million.
