More than 135 Afghans rounded up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

KABUL’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a media report said on Tuesday.

Peshawar police conducted search and strike operations in different parts of the city, arresting 253 suspects, The Express Tribune reported. As many as 522 houses and 249 hotels were searched.

Seventy-eight Afghans were detained in Peshawar and 59 others in different districts for not having legal residency documents. Several Afghans were rounded up in Mansehra and Mardan districts.

Security forces also conducted a search and clearing operation in Landikotal bazaar and residential areas. Five suspected Afghan nationals were arrested and shifted to the army garrison.
