KABUL and some other Islamic countries faced wars, terrorism and other problems because they had stopped practicing Islamic teachings.

Ibrahimi was addressing a gathering marking Eid Milandun Nabi, the birth anniversary of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). The festival is celebrated on the 12th day of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the third month of the Islamic calendar.

“Most Muslim countries are gifted with vast natural resources, they own various mineral deposits, they have brave and intelligent individuals, but wars, terrorism and other such bad things also happen in these countries. The reason is their detachment from Islamic teachings. Muslims don’t follow Islamic orders and the practices of the Prophet and lessons of the holy Quran.”

Ibrahimi said if the Muslim world shunned differences and lived like brothers, the success in this world and the hereafter was theirs.

He said Afghanistan was currently passing through a critical juncture in its history. Millions of Afghans lived under the poverty line and the number of drug addicts was on the increase and countless problems haunted the Afghans, he continued.

“Now the unity government should not keep the Afghans waiting and should introduce the cabinet as soon as possible in order to streamline the affairs of ministries.”

MP Rabbabi Parwani said the people of Afghanistan had plunged in numerous problems because they had shunned Islamic teachings and were following non-believers.

“In the name of women’s rights, they have destroyed our domestic life. They encouraged women to challenge their spouses and thus ruined their lives,” she said. She said Islam had given women rights, which had not been given to them in any other religion or laws.
