1 police dead, 3 hurt in Kabul suicide attack
KABUL (Pajhwok): One policeman was killed and three others were wounded on Thursday when a suicide bomber struck a vehicle of security forces in the Dehsabz district of Kabul, an official said.
Siddique Siddiqui, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, said the suicide bomber planned to enter Kabul, but police had started patrolling the locality on the basis of an intelligence report.
Laiq, a resident of the area, said the bomber ploughed his explosives-laden car into the police van, which caused casualties.
As usual, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the attack, saying a convoy of national and international forces had been targeted in Dehsabz. He said heavy casualties had been inflicted on the forces.
Few days back, a vehicle of the Afghan National Army (ANA) was targeted in the same locality, which left four soldiers dead.
