JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Thirteen insurgents, including two commanders, have been killed and two others wounded in two separate US drone strikes in eastern Laghman and Kunar provinces, the governor’s spokesman and a police official said Saturday.

Sarhadi Zwak told Pajhwok Afghan News the missile strike took place in Sharafuddin Kala, a locality in Alishang district, late last evening.

In another missile strike in Shigal district of eastern Kunar province on Saturday, police chief said that nine Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants were killed and two others wounded.

Abdul Habib Sayedkhel said the missile attack took place in Shaltan locality of the district at around 2:30 pm. Militants’ commanders Ali was among the dead, he said.

Militants however, have not yet commented on the attack.
