KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Two civilians, four rebels have been killed and ten people, including two policemen, have been wounded during incidents of violence in different parts of the country, officials said Monday.

Two civilians were killed and five others injured during a clash between security forces and rebels in northwestern Faryab province, Police Chief Sayyed Masood Yaqoobi, said.

One person was killed and another wounded in a bomb blast in the Ghormach district. Similarly, clash between rebels and security forces ended up in the killing of a child and injuring four others in Almar district, he added.

Elsewhere, two policemen and three civilians had been wounded in a magnetic bomb explosion in the Chahardara district of Kunduz province, crime branch chief, Col. Waisuddin Talash, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

The mine was tied to the police vehicle which went-off after a while, leaving the vehicle completely damaged, he added.

Meanwhile, Qari Najibullah, a notorious Taliban commander, along with three others, was killed during the ongoing clearing operation in the Chahardar district.

The military offensive was underway in the Chahardara district since last on month in which several militants had been killed or wounded.
