JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Unidentified gunmen opened fire at people offering prayers in a mosque in the Rodat district of eastern Nangarhar province, killing at least two worshippers and injuring a third, an official said on Monday.
Ahmad Zia Abdulzai, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the attackers were militants who opened fired at the mosque in the Kabul Camp area of the district last night.
He added police had opened investigation to arrest the killers. However, there was no claim of responsibility for the gun attack.
